January 03, 2004 News from the weird: 1. My friend had an appendix operation today. She's in Dubai and I had visions of Arab doctors removing her kidneys while she screamed “I DON’T THINK YOU SHOULD TAKE THAT AWAY”. I don’t trust doctors. Even scarier ARAB DOCTORS. Last time one of them checked me … I was in pain and ALL he said was ‘Dis…?? No Ploblum’ maybe that’s all the English he knew but hospitals and doctors terrify me! I know I will be like my grandmother when I grow old…sprawled in an awkward position in the bathroom with a broken hip…repeating… ‘I don’t need a doctor!’ 2. My aunty is coming over tomorrow to spend the day AND night. Her obsession … arranging, attending, and discussing marriage ceremonies. I wish her daughter would get married soon so she won’t keep me up all night planning the PERFECT wedding. If she opens her big black bag and displays photographs of POTENTIAL husbands, I’m going to pull my ashtray and cigarettes from under the bed and smoke in her face. The shock would probably hold her off for the next 10 years. 3. My sisters think I look like a doll we had when we were kids. The old-fashioned kinda dolls that close their eyes when you lay them down. That is just plain freaky and insane. Im 24! I do NOT have curly, orange pigtails and my name is not JO-JO the doll! (2:05 AM) ~`~
